Histry of Holíč

The Hotel SAN has been located in the town Holíč, which is situated in very close boundary the Slovak republic and the Czech republic. From the view of history and present, Holíč has been a significant crossroads of trading, that is why the town was predestineted to its development. The town Holíč is known by production "haban" ceramics.

The historic dominant of Holíč is a national cultural sight in the Baroque style - the classical castle of fortified as summer settlement to Maria Theresa. Among other significant sights belong St. Martin's church and the Church of the Divine's Heart and a technical national sight Windmill.
